Winsearch are currently recruiting for an experienced TIG Welder on behalf of our client based In Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business where quality, precision, and team collaboration are at the forefront of operations.

If you are a skilled TIG Welder who takes pride in producing high-quality work with minimal supervision, this could be the role for you.

The Role

You will be responsible for welding materials using the TIG welding process to a consistently high standard. Working closely with the Production Supervisor and wider engineering team, you will ensure all welding activities meet specification, quality, and safety requirements.

This is a hands-on position requiring strong technical ability, attention to detail, and the confidence to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out TIG welding to a high standard in line with engineering specifications
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings of varying complexity
  • Work independently where required and manage own workload effectively
  • Conduct self-inspection of completed welds before submitting for final inspection
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and reinstate work areas following engineering activity
  • Ensure all work is completed within the requirements of HASAWA (1974)
  • Follow technical drawing specifications and quality control procedures
  • Adhere to all health and safety standards on site

What We re Looking For

Essential:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in TIG welding
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience working to appropriate welding specifications
  • Relevant welder qualification certificates
  • Strong health & safety awareness
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong quality focus and attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Previous coded welding experience
  • WQTC s in accordance with 9606-1 and/or 9606-2
  • NVQ in Welding & Fabrication
  • MIG/MAG welding experience
  • Experience working within a 5S environment
