Overview

Manager, Production – Full time, On‑site, Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Job requisition . Lead the Nuneaton Prepack 2 operation, overseeing 13 production lines and managing a workforce of 225 colleagues.

• Site Leadership – Oversee conversion of bulk cheese into finished products across all lines.
• Team Management – Lead a direct team of 5 shift leads and an indirect workforce of 220, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Performance Delivery – Drive KPIs and SQDCM metrics aligned with budget and strategic goals, ensuring operational excellence.
• Safety & Culture – Champion a safety‑first mindset, focusing on food safety and colleague wellbeing.
• Strategic Initiatives – Lead projects such as labour optimisation, yield improvement, automation, and new product development.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Act as deputy to the Senior Manager, Operations and work with cross‑functional teams to deliver business‑wide improvements.

• Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG production, with strong operational excellence knowledge.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of UK food safety standards and experience leading external audits.
• Strategic thinker with a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making.
• Proven leadership ability to inspire teams, develop talent, and drive performance.
• Comfortable managing large teams and complex production environments.
