Laser Setter / Operator

Our client in Nuneaton is seeking a permanent Laser Setter / Operator to join their team. The role focuses on operating and setting a fibre laser cutting machine to achieve excellent cut quality and throughput.

• Hours:
  
  Monday - Thursday, 07:15-17:45 (40 hours paid)
• Starting salary: £15-£16 per hour, depending on experience (approx. £33,280 per year)
• Permanent, full-time role (4-day a week)
• Opportunity for the right candidate to progress into a supervisory position in the future

• Set up, operate and monitor a Bodor fibre laser cutting machine
• Configure laser parameters for various materials and thicknesses to optimise quality and speed
• Operate and set up a press brake machine as required
• Check part dimensions and quality; make adjustments as needed to meet specifications

• Prior experience with laser cutting machines
• Basic understanding of programming and software used for laser cutting
• Proficient in operating and setting a press brake in addition to the laser
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
• Team player with reliable punctuality and good communication
• Physically fit and able to handle equipment and materials
