Paint Prepper and Polisher preferably experience within an aerospace/automotive/manufacturing environment particularly with carbon fibre parts.
Operations include surface preparation, masking and mounting components prior to paint.
Job Responsibilities- Understanding the preparation process required in order to achieve a high paint standard.
- Carry out the masking of components and component preparation prior to painting.
- Adhere to all requirements for hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal.
- Ability to produce high-quality parts.
- Follow work instructions.
- Meeting the customer requirements
- Polishing gloss finish components to a high-quality
- Preparation of various substrates ready for primer
- Preparation of primer for topcoat
- Able to use filler for pinholes, voids and shapes
- An eye for detail and hand skills
- Automotive model development and body shop / paint shop general skills
- Experienced in working on and preparing carbon fibre parts to a high level
- To take pride in your own work and to strive to meet and exceed quality standards.
- To be the best possible team member and give help and support where possible.
- To be reliable and consider the effect any absence may have on your team.
- To always communicate clearly and politely with your colleagues.
- To arrive at work in good time to be at your workstation and ready to begin work at your designated start time.
- To ensure your department and your own work area is always kept clean and tidy.
- To show respect without exception to your team members and all colleagues as well as visitors and suppliers.
- Wearing the uniform provided correctly and smartly.
- To read and fully understand the Info Hub
- To always wear the required protective work wear (PPE).
- To ensure compliance with all Company policies, processes and procedures and appropriate legislation including The Health & Safety Work Act and The Equality Act.
- To have completed QHSE Induction Training.
- To comply with any recommendations made by our Occupational Health Advisers to ensure your health and safety on site.
