Sales Engineer

Location: Exhall

My client are a leading provider of high-precision gauges and measurement solutions. We represent some of the words largest Manufacturers of precision gauges like Mitutoyo, Tesa, Kroeplin, Mark 10, Chatillon, Renishaw, Mahr, Thread master and Bowers, with offices in the UK, Ireland and USA we also have large UKAS calibration laboratories, and we manufacture precision gauges like thread plus and rings plain plugs, taper gauges etc,

They are now seeking a motivated Sales Engineer to drive sales across the UK manufacturing sector.

This role is ideal for someone with strong technical understanding and a passion for building customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new sales opportunities across engineering and manufacturing sectors

• Visit customers, understand technical requirements, and recommend suitable gauge solutions

• Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical presentations

• Maintain and grow existing customer relationships

• Attend trade shows, events, and customer demonstrations

• Collaborate with the technical team to support custom gauge projects

• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets

Requirements

• Experience in technical sales or engineering sales (precision tools or metrology advantageous)

• Understanding of manufacturing processes, CNC machining, or measurement technologies

• Strong communication and customer-facing skills

• Ability to read engineering drawings (training can be provided)

• Self-motivated, organised, and target-driven

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

Full-time, Permanent

Working hours are 39 per week.

Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 5pm

Friday 8:30am - 1:30pm

Experience:

• CNC Grinding on a Studer: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
