Social Worker - Nuneaton and Bedworth
WMJobs is seeking experienced Social Workers to join Warwickshire County Council's Family Help Team based in Nuneaton & Bedworth.
About the TeamThe Family Help Team works with families through assessment, early support, child protection, court and care, assisting families to remain together or reunify. The team comprises Family Support Workers, Family Practitioners, Social Workers, Systemic Consultants, PCSO’s and NHS Nursing staff, all working collaboratively to deliver holistic support.
About the RoleWe are recruiting for 2 experienced Social Workers on a full-time, permanent basis. Responsibilities include duty service and assessment, safeguarding and intervention with children and families. The team is based at The Hilary Road Centre, Hilary Road, Nuneaton.
Key Responsibilities- Provide duty service and assessment for families in need of subject support.
- Manage safeguarding and intervention cases.
- Record and produce concise, effective, and accurate reports.
- Build relationships, engage with children and families.
- Apply analytical skills and make well-informed decisions.
37 hours per week with agile and flexible working options, typically from 9 am to 5:30 pm Monday–Thursday, and 9 am to 5 pm on Fridays.
Key Requirements- Professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc, Diploma, or CQSW).
- In‑depth experience in children's social work and complex cases.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making and reporting skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Professional Social Work qualification and Social Work England Registration.
- Up to £51,726.00 per annum, plus a £3,500 pro‑rated market supplement.
- Supportive managers and a robust supervision policy focused on wellbeing.
