Position: Personal Advisor - 1 year fixed term
Location: Bedworth

Warwickshire County Council’s Separated Children and Leaving Care Team works with care experienced young people aged 16‑25 and separated children in care. The service is split between Young People Seeking and Young People Leaving Care, with a duty rota covering both. The team operates county‑wide with offices in the North and South to enable access for all young people.

Our approach is about locality working, multi disciplinary and multi agency teams that support the whole family. Building strong partnerships with local services, Health, Police and Education.

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Person Advisor to join our Leaving Care Service. This role is a rewarding opportunity for someone who believes that young people leaving care deserve the best possible start in adulthood and can adapt their work style to the individual needs of each young person.

Responsibilities
  • Work with young people aged 16‑25.
  • Manage a caseload and respond to the needs of young people on a day‑to‑day basis.
  • Engage in team duty, supporting other young people who are not allocated to you.
  • Support young people in preparing for independence.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Fluent in spoken English, meeting the Fluency Duty for this role.
  • Ability to provide advice to young people in clear, accurate spoken English.
  • Successful completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS), in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
