The Proctor/Events Assistant assists in running the assessment of medical students at HMSOM and helps with on‑ and off‑campus events throughout the year.
Responsibilities- Lead the clinical skills lab by assigning participants to appropriate rooms, timing activities, and setting up rooms.
- Collect and organize paperwork.
- Locate specific Standardized Patients for encounters and escort them to designated areas.
- Check in/out Standardized Patients.
- Field student questions and request staff assistance when needed.
- Administer CBSE NBME Subject Exams and other SOM exams under supervision of a SOM trained master proctor.
- Troubleshoot computer issues.
- Assist with events hosted by the SOM or the students.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Must be flexible and available for all dates of a specific event (training, practice interviews, exam dates).
- Able to multitask, follow direction, strong organization, confident and positive demeanor, comfortable with technology.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Good communicator with ability to assist individuals and interface with faculty, staff, and students during events.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.
- Educational training and/or professional experience in health professions, communication, behavioral sciences, or education.
Starting at $26.12 hourly. HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The posted rate is a reasonable good‑faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market‑competitive total rewards package.
