English-speaking AMI educator

Overview

The Secret of Childhood Montessori School is an English-speaking AMI Montessori program in Nyon, Switzerland. The bilingual school in La Petite Prairie opened in January 2017 and currently serves around fifty students in two classes for 3-6 year olds and one class for 6-12 year olds. We are looking for an English-speaking AMI qualified educator for the 6-12 classroom “Classe Lac Léman”.

Employment start date: 5 January 2026.

• Supporting children in their learning in a Montessori environment
• Ensure individual educational monitoring of children
• Participate in establishing a rich and caring environment that promotes learning
• Participate in team meetings and help organise parent meetings
• Contribute to the Student Report (Livret de l’élève) at the end of the school year
• Work in tandem with the French-speaking lead teacher of the class

• Experience as a Montessori educator
• AMI diploma 6-12 years old and university diplomas (bachelor’s, master’s, etc.). A 3-6 year AMI diploma would be an advantage.
• Sense of responsibility
• Ability to organize and plan your work
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Excellent command of oral and written English (native or seamless fluency)
• Good command of French would be an asset
• Knowledge of “Transparent Classroom” is an asset
