Electrical Engineer

Our client based in canton Vaud is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and industrialization of complex electronic solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

• Lead the definition and evolution of electronic specifications for products, driving architectural decisions and reviewing electronic schematics and layouts to ensure compliance with functional, EMC, and electrical safety requirements

• Improve firmware (FW) specifications and embedded C/C++ code to ensure seamless integration between electronics and the main software.
• Derive test requirements from specifications
  , define test plans and methodologies, execute tests, and perform verification and validation (V&V) activities with a focus on quality, compliance, and rigorous execution in accordance with the product lifecycle process.
• Lead PCBA transfer and industrialization activities in close collaboration with R&D, suppliers, production, supply chain, quality, service, and product management teams, ensuring alignment, execution, product quality, and manufacturing readiness.
• Proactively drive technical execution
  , anticipate and mitigate project risks, resolve complex technical and compliance issues, align stakeholders, and ensure on-time delivery through effective communication and technical leadership
  .

• University degree (or equivalent) in Electronics Engineering
  .
• 10+ years of experience in electronic instrumentation development, including HW/FW/System-level design and V&V skills
  .
• Full-cycle product development experience, from requirements to market launch
  , in a regulated environment (proof of concept, complex design, V&V under a quality management system).

• Deep understanding of electronics engineering disciplines
  , with proven expertise in electrical safety and EMC standards
  .
• Experience in leading complex electronics development or industrialization activities
  , including supplier quality management, quality controls, and test strategy development for ICT/FCT benches
  .
• Proficiency in embedded C/C++ for firmware development and hardware-software integration.

• Highly autonomous and self-driven
  , with a demonstrated ability to lead complex technical activities, make decisions, prioritize tasks, and coordinate stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, communication (oral/written), and interpersonal skills to work effectively in global, cross-cultural, and cross-functional teams.
• Proactive mindset, creativity, and adaptability to change.
• Fluent in English (mandatory); a second language is a plus.
