About the role

As a Data Specialist, you will bridge the gap between medical expertise and technical development by defining the data architecture for a new platform. You will serve as a key analytical partner, interpreting longitudinal health data to support evidence-informed decision-making and high-level research initiatives.

Our client offers a contract for up to five years with the potential for internalization. You will have the unique opportunity to support a high-level medical research program and work within a dynamic, interdisciplinary team at the forefront of sports medicine.

Work tasks

This role involves a blend of data architecture design, historical data management, and advanced analytical interpretation to support medical and scientific inquiries.

  • Define logical data structures, variable architecture, and metadata for the new medical platform.
  • Ensure historical medical data remains accessible and interpretable within the evolving system.
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, field logic, and validation rules to ensure data integrity.
  • Interrogate datasets to identify patterns, recognize trends, and formulate research questions.
  • Conduct exploratory and targeted analyses to support strategic medical and scientific inquiries.
We are looking for
  • Advanced knowledge in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Data Science, or Health Informatics.
  • Good working knowledge of at least one analytical language such as R, Python, SPSS, or SQL.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability through applied projects, thesis work, or research support.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
