A long-standing, family-owned company (130+ years in business) is looking to hire an Accounting Manager to oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and help modernize processes as the organization continues to grow.
This is a tight-knit, collaborative team where everyone pitches in — the ideal hire is hands‑on, reliable, and enjoys being the go‑to person for accounting operations.
What You’ll Do- Own the full month‑end close and prepare financial statements
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, intercompany activity, and inventory adjustments
- Process payroll in Paylocity, including commissions
- Support A/P & A/R as needed (team is long‑tenured and stable)
- Complete timely bank reconciliations (within 30 days)
- Partner with external CPA for tax‑related items
- Oversee insurance and 401(k) administrative tasks
- Drive process improvements and contribute to ERP (Acumatica) enhancements
- 5–8+ years of hands‑on accounting experience in a small‑business environment ($10–40M revenue ideal)
- Strong close experience and comfort with multi‑entity accounting
- Ability to lead and support long‑tenured team members
- Manufacturing or production experience a plus
- Must be comfortable being fully onsite, Monday–Friday
- A true do’er — someone who likes rolling up their sleeves and improving processes
