Salary: $115,000 – $155,000 per year
Company OverviewWe are a mid‑sized, family‑owned general contractor experiencing tremendous growth across the Chicagoland area. We pride ourselves on our people and excellent project results. Due to growth, we are seeking an experienced Safety Director to establish an in‑house safety program for our company.
Job DetailsThe Safety Director will be responsible for creating and running the safety program. All work is Chicagoland area based, with no travel required.

- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Safety Plan.
- Provide safety training and awareness programs to all site personnel.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to identify causes and find ways to prevent them in the future.
- Ensure all safety equipment is in good working order and readily available.
- Maintain accurate records of all safety‑related activities and incidents.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies such as OSHA and keep abreast of new safety regulations and standards.
- Implement emergency procedures and conduct drills as necessary.
- Promote a positive safety culture within the organization.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Manager in the construction industry.
- Located in the Chicagoland area.
- Experience in a safety role within a construction company.
- OSHA 30‑hour training.
- Commercial & Industrial experience preferred.
