Civil​/Coastal Engineer

Civil/Coastal Engineer –
GZA Geo Environmental, Inc. – Hybrid position in Oak Brook, IL or Brookfield, WI.

We’re seeking a Civil/Coastal Engineer with a strong interest in Coastal Waterfront projects across the Great Lakes Region, including shoreline and beach protection, site development, coastal bluff slope and toe protection, dredging, and related projects.

• Preparing project plans utilizing Civil 3D
• Assisting with field data collection and other work as required
• Conducting technical analyses and calculations
• Preparing design plans and technical specifications
• Part‑time construction observations
• Providing general support for a variety of projects
• Assisting on projects and tasks outside primary responsibilities as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, coastal, or marine engineering (Master’s preferred)
• 1–4 years of relevant work experience
• College coursework in coastal science/engineering preferred but not required
• Strong Civil 3D and AutoCAD skills
• EIT or PE preferred or ability to obtain

The base salary for this position may range between $70,000 and $95,000, depending on location, experience, education, licensure, and other qualifications.
