Our community bank client is seeking a Personal Banker in Oak Brook, IL. The successful candidate will handle customer service functions while maintaining positive relationships with coworkers and clients.

The role offers a salary up to $65K, plus incentives and excellent benefits.

• Manage customer bank accounts: open, close, and oversee transactions
• Resolve issues related to banking services and accounts
• Answer customer inquiries via phone regarding deposit and basic loan questions
• Perform account maintenance for clients changing banking products
• Follow bank operating procedures
• Complete reporting tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Escalate issues to supervisor when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction

Desired skills and experience include:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of customer service experience or similar roles
• Experience in loan sales, application processing, and loan closing at a financial institution
• Ability to interpret credit bureau reports, coordinate loan stipulations, schedule closings, and process loan documents
• Proven success in selling ancillary insurance products
• Strong relationship-building skills within a banking environment, demonstrated through integrity, dedication, and strategic advice
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts clearly
