Position: Physical Therapist IHR-Casual As Needed

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced physical therapist to join our in‑house registry (IHR) team, providing high‑quality care at our Outpatient Oakbrook Rehab Services Clinic and nearby outpatient clinics. This hourly position requires a minimum commitment of 16 hours per month. The ideal candidate will have strong outpatient experience and a flexible schedule that aligns with clinic hours:
Mondays‑Thursdays 7:00 AM–7:00 PM;
Fridays 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply appropriate evaluation and treatment modalities; perform re‑evaluations and adjust plans per guidelines.
  • Assume full responsibility for patient management from initial contact to discharge; maintain collaboration with PTAs.
  • Adhere to department policy regarding evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries; document all notes in EMR.
  • Complete daily notes reflecting patient response and assessment for discharge; meet documentation requirements.
  • Provide educational materials and methods appropriate to patient understanding.
  • Participate in committees, department processes, and special projects.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with healthcare team members.
  • Engage in marketing activities as expected by the department.
  • Create a culture of respectful communication and timely acknowledgment of teamwork.
  • Accept constructive feedback and make timely changes as evidenced by coaching and audit results.
  • Complete non‑patient care responsibilities within established timelines.
  • Contribute to educational efforts such as in‑services, journal clubs, new hire orientation.
  • Actively participate in student clinical or observation programs as a mentor or host.
  • Maintain productivity standards per department expectations.
  • Demonstrate willingness to flex schedule or assignments to meet patient needs and meetings.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Licensed Physical Therapist in State of Illinois.
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred
  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy.
