About This Role

Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.

We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to provide clerical support for our patients. If you are passionate about providing exemplary care while being sensitive to psychiatric conditions, you would be a great fit on our team.

Schedule

This is a 100% on‑site position at our Oak Brook location. Opening shift:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and 8:15 am to 4:15 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and orients patients, visitors, and staff who enter the building.
  • Answers incoming calls in a warm and welcoming manner.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly reception area.
  • Maintains awareness of everyone in the building.
  • Completes intake calls and schedules intake appointments.
  • Reaches out to families to schedule family therapy appointments and outpatient psychiatrist appointments.
  • Provides intake for new clients, verifying demographics, insurance, and completion of forms for charting.
  • Maintains patient charts according to HIPAA requirements and Compass policy.
  • Utilizes the Electronic Medical Record system to verify appointments and schedule appointments for clinicians and/or outpatient psychiatrists.
  • Obtains payment methods, collects payments, and issues receipts for outpatient psychiatry and therapist appointments.
  • Opens and closes the facility in a timely manner in accordance with procedure.
  • Performs clerical duties to ensure efficient operations (computers, office equipment, copiers, fax, scanner, postage equipment).
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 1‑2 years of customer service experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and planning skills; detail oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.
  • Conflict resolution and problem‑solving skills.
  • Flexible schedule – able to work assigned schedule.
Compensation

$19.50 - $21 USD
