We are looking for additional team members to join our Chicago, IL-area vision center(s). We provide training, free employee LASIK, and offer a competitive salary [$18-$20/hr] to start (depending on experience), as well as lucrative incentive plans, a 401k with a match, PTO, paid holidays, pet insurance, comprehensive medical benefits and ongoing professional development opportunities.

• A Vision Health Technician is a valuable asset to our OD/MD’s as they assist in providing excellent patient care during their visit.
• Handle a wide range of duties while using equipment to perform the initial testing needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via internal virtual care systems).
• Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave.
• Practice urgency at all times with patient’s time, as well as doctor’s time and schedule.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA.
• Verify patient information by interviewing patient.
• Record medical history, current medications and confirm purpose of visit.
• Record all data in the patient’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Required skills include dilation, refraction, pressures, and performing a variety of diagnostic tests.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of eye anatomy.
• General office duties and cleaning assigned by manager.
• Employee commonly stands, walks, and sits.
