Position

Summary

The Talent Development Specialist is responsible for the implementation and execution of Talent Development initiatives including employee development and mentorship programs, employee engagement initiatives, and supporting annual performance review processes and training programs and systems. This role will be responsible for helping to execute the employee engagement strategy through effective programming efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supports the design, execution and management of talent development programs and initiatives including individual development plans (IDP’s), trainings and mentoring programs.
  • Design tools, templates and content that contribute to employee engagement effectiveness and drive a positive employee experience.
  • Support the administration of talent development technology platforms, including the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Executes and implements the talent strategy for the company’s social learning groups such as Advisory Council and employee focus groups.
  • Facilitate and supports ongoing education sessions through employee focus group at various organization levels to gather input and socialize feedback.
  • Supports talent development initiatives including performance management, talent development, change management, employee engagement and process enhancements to assist with employee retention and engagement.
  • Plans, designs and executes employee engagement initiatives including employee onboarding new hire orientation and onboarding mentoring programs, content curation, and utilizing best practice research and technology that drives connectivity and cohesion within the Athletico culture.
  • Uses data to drive initiatives and create reporting and metrics to continuously track and monitor employee engagement initiatives and provide readouts to the business and appropriate stakeholders on employee engagement initiative adoption throughout the year.
  • Create and edit communication materials pertaining to talent, development, performance, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Maintenance of Talent inboxes, responding to messages and re-directing where appropriate.
  • Proactively identifies industry and company trends and creates action plans to increase engagement.
  • Provide consultation on individual employee development needs, as appropriate, and help maintain plans and action items relative to talent reviews and succession planning.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or related field
  • Work Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in HR or Marketing; minimum of 3 years of experience in customer relations or marketing preferred; 5+ years of administrative experience required.

  • Knowledge and Technical

    Strong communication and analytical skills; advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to influence, lead and manage projects in a matrix environment; work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining confidentiality; excellent organizational and multi‑tasking abilities; exceptional relationship building and managing skills; results‑oriented focus on continuous improvement; process‑oriented problem solving; strategic and tactical execution.
Language Skills
  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
