Sr. Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Senior Cloud Engineer to join our growing team at Inspira Financial. The role is responsible for the design, administration, maintenance, and support of enterprise infrastructure across a dynamic business environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Dev Ops and automation, excellent communication skills, and a data‑driven mindset to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.

• Design and implement Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure and solutions.
• Work in an Agile framework to identify and automate solutions that enhance developer experience and increase productivity.
• Provide domain expertise in Dev Ops culture, tooling, delivery methods, and practices in GCP cloud.
• Maintain and upgrade deployment platforms and system infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or similar.
• Support inbound calls/emails and maintain tickets related to infrastructure support.
• Cross‑train and mentor other team members to facilitate coverage.
• Maintain and upgrade CI/CD pipelines to enable faster, high‑quality development with strong security posture.
• Adhere to the organization’s architectural principles, patterns, and guidelines to ensure optimal solution development and implementation.
• Collaborate with architects to align with enterprise architecture standards and strategies.
• Effectively utilize AI coding assistants to accelerate developer productivity.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in solution architecture and technology innovation.
• Contribute to defining and establishing benchmarks, metrics, and quality measures.
• Focus on the implementation of cost‑effective, extensible, and supportable solutions.
• Support the stability and resiliency of all relevant production processes, and institute a robust support model for process and application failures.
• Leverage AI responsibly, ensuring AI‑generated code meets quality standards.
• Drive adoption of AI‑powered coding assistants (Copilot, Claude, etc.) to enhance team productivity and mentor others on AI tool integration.
• Maintain and upgrade observability, alerting, and dashboard platforms using GCP tools and/or enterprise tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 5‑7 years of experience in software or solution architecture roles, focusing on designing and implementing complex, enterprise‑level solutions using cloud platforms.
• Expertise in Terraform HCL + Terraform CDK.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and architectural frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Continuous Delivery patterns, cloud foundational patterns, observability patterns, and developer experience patterns.
• Related certifications are a plus (e.g. GCP Cloud Engineer).
• Practical AI experience required – comfortable using tools like Git Hub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude for prototyping, debugging, and problem‑solving.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

$107,000 – $137,000 per year.

The compensation for this position varies depending on location, skills, and experience. The package may include incentive and bonus opportunities. Remote roles can be based in any of the following states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, MI, MN, MO, NC, NE, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV. Remote status and role locations are subject to change. Relocation is not provided. Employees within a 90‑minute radius of our Oak Brook, IL headquarters are required to adhere to an in‑office work guideline of a minimum of four days per month from 10 am to 2 pm (one of the four days must be a Monday or Friday).
