- Represent clients before immigration courts and USCIS
- Based on your experience you would either start on our USCIS team or Litigation team.
- The USCIS team conducts case reviews, reviews USCIS filings prepared by paralegals, prepares clients for interviews, and attends interviews in Chicago, IL.
- The Litigation team handles all aspects of removal defense, including bond hearings, individual hearings, and appeals. Additionally, we represent immigrants in local criminal court proceedings.
- Collaborate with non-attorney team, paralegals, and attorneys to build effective case strategies
- Maintain clear, timely, and compassionate communication with clients and families
- Stay current on immigration law, EOIR procedures, and case developments
- J.D. and licensed to practice law in any U.S. state (
Illinois preferred
) - 5+ years of experience in immigration law (removal defense and family-based petitions preferred)
- Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred, not required)
- Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Professional, empathetic, and committed to client-centered service
