Job Summary:

The Heat Treat Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring heat treatment equipment to harden and temper precision metal components. This position requires a keen eye for detail, adherence to safety procedures, and a strong understanding of heat treatment processes.

• Operate and monitor heat treatment furnaces, quenching systems, and tempering equipment.

• Load and unload parts into furnaces according to specifications.

• Adjust temperature controls and cycle times to achieve desired material properties.

• Perform hardness testing and inspections to ensure quality standards are met.

• Maintain accurate documentation of heat treatment cycles and test results.

• Follow safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on heat treatment equipment.

• Work closely with quality control and production teams to ensure precision and consistency.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.

• Knowledge of metallurgy, heat treatment processes, and quality control standards.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical instructions.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Basic computer skills for data entry and process documentation.

• Familiarity with safety protocols related to heat treatment operations.
