Hiring for a bustling, multifaceted Italian American restaurant in search of a skilled Pastry Chef to help us elevate our pastry offerings and deliver exceptional dining experiences. • Operate and manage the pastry section of a kitchen, working together with the other chefs
• Prepare a variety of baked goods
• Decorate and present pastries and baked goods in a tasteful and beautiful way
• Monitor and order ingredients, supplies and equipment
• Meet with customers to discuss custom-made desserts or baked goods for special occasions
• Ensure the bakery section of the kitchen adheres to health and safety regulations
• Identify staffing needs, help to recruit new personnel and train them
• Develop new seasonal recipes and menus and keep up with the latest trends

• 3+ years of Pastry Chef experience in a casual, high-volume, multifaceted kitchen
• Reliable transportation to travel between locations
• Proficiency in menu item production
• Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local food handling regulations
• Spanish language proficiency is advantageous but not required
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Availability on nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in a high-volume, high-stress environment and maintain composure at all times
