Parts Advisor

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in a hybrid Parts Advisor. This position is essential in ensuring our customers and service teams receive the right parts, on time, while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy both customer interaction and hands-on logistics, this is the job for you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise customers and service technicians on the selection, availability, and suitability of automotive and manufacturing parts.
  • Process parts sales, generate quotes, and handle returns efficiently.
  • Manage inventory: receive, stock, and track parts to ensure accuracy and availability.
  • Place orders for out-of-stock items and coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery.
  • Deliver parts to customers, service departments, and external clients using company vehicles, ensuring prompt and safe transportation.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inventory movements, and customer interactions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in person, by phone, and via email.
  • Keep the parts department clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Assist with promotional activities and suggest companion products to customers.
  • Support the Parts Manager and collaborate with other departments as needed.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Experience in automotive or manufacturing parts (preferred)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

    Ability to lift up to 50-70 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic computer skills
  • Customer service experience and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of automotive or manufacturing parts and processes
  • Experience with sales, promotions, and inventory forecasting
  • Familiarity with delivery routes and logistics
