Power Generation Field Service Technician – Level II

Location:

Oak Creek, WI (servicing southeastern Wisconsin and Madison as needed).

We are looking for an experienced Field Service Power Generation Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution Business.

• Complete repair activities on generators or components.
• Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Perform maintenance and repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
• Maintain detailed records of service.
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
• Develop and obtain certifications on new and existing Cummins products.
• Maintain own tools.

• Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
• High voltage/low voltage experience.
• Basic workshop experience and knowledge of power generation products.
• Advanced troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
• Startup and repair of bypass transfer switches.
• Mentor junior technicians and provide technical support and documentation.
• Train entry/intermediate technicians.
• Vocational diploma or equivalent technical education.
• Current electrical certification (e.g., CFE, MUS).
• Locally valid driving permit and CDL holder 21+.
• 3+ years driving experience, 5-year motor vehicle report without major violations.
• Pass Department of Transportation physical and comply with DOT driving regulations.

• Full‑time, 100% on‑site, with flexible shift availability.
