Position OverviewDevice Engineer focused on the development and verification of avionics products such as displays and air‑ground communication systems.
Principal Accountabilities- Perform development and verification for avionics products such as display and air‑ground communication systems.
- Create and review high‑level and low‑level requirements.
- Perform hardware/software integration testing compliant with DO 178B/C, including unit testing.
- Execute work in an Agile environment, participate in review processes.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
- Design, analyze, and develop product solutions using established programming languages, tools, and security baselines.
- Enhance and maintain development and testing frameworks for reusability, scalability, stability, and optimal performance.
- Prepare and execute comprehensive test plans; develop automated and manual test scripts to validate new features and improve existing products.
- Conduct reviews aligned with standards, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve product issues of moderate complexity.
- Document technical deliverables throughout the project lifecycle, including specifications, design documents, code comments, test cases, test reports, and release notes.
- Collaborate with other technical leads to develop unit tests and ensure thorough documentation.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering technical growth and collaboration.
- Requires in-depth knowledge and experience.
- Solves complex problems using existing solutions.
- Works independently with minimal guidance.
- Acts as a resource for less experienced colleagues.
- Contributes to process improvements.
- Work can stabilize for many years, even until retirement.
Typically requires 5–7 years of related experience with a 4‑year degree; or 3 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent work experience.
Work ArrangementFully On‑Site:
Must be able to travel to an Arrow Client office location as requested.
