Job Description
Position
Purpose:
The Performance Food service Group – Oak Creek is responsible for providing loss prevention programs, resources and training to associates. The role focuses on workplace injury prevention, ergonomics, and serves as a trusted advisor for associates.
The incumbent will promote a positive safety culture, reduce the frequency and severity of workers’ compensation claims, and manage OSHA recordable complaints and musculoskeletal disorders. The position requires an outgoing, motivated individual with strong written and verbal communication skills, who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Major Functional Responsibilities- Conduct on-site injury/illness and wellness protection
- Provide reactive and proactive evaluations and first aid care for musculoskeletal complaints
- Analyse workplace tasks for potential ergonomic risk factors, perform biomechanical assessments and lead injury-prevention activities and training
- Conduct and champion proactive safety, one-on-one engagements, ergonomic assessments, functional job coaching, and training on functional movement, proper body mechanics, and injury-prevention strategies
- Promote awareness of and adherence to industry-based safe work practices; assist members with accident/incident investigations and root-cause analysis
- Attend member safety committees, support both proactive and remedial initiatives, develop training programs, awareness campaigns and resource materials
- Analyse industry-wide and member-specific risk exposures and loss trends to prioritise problem areas and emerging needs
- Provide exemplary customer service to external and internal customers through frequent interactions; assist vendors providing related programmes and support services to the workforce
- Collaborate with others on the loss-prevention team and other trust departments to meet associate needs and accomplish departmental and organisational goals
- Collaborate with off-site medical and occupational medical providers to facilitate site operational, injury-prevention, claims, and recordable goals
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology, ergonomics or a related field.
Required Licences and
Certifications:
Maintenance of national certification and state licencures and requirements.
Required
Work Experience:
5–7 years.
- Motivated self-starter with a customer-service focus and proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with proven ability to multi-task, prioritise and stay organised
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft 365
- Commitment to the laid-out educational roadmap to best optimise OpCo and Enterprise needs
