6 South Med/Surg/Oncology is a 34 bed inpatient unit that provides care to patients with Pneumonia, COPD Exacerbation, Pancreatitis, Acute Renal failure, post-op, and Oncology patients who may require additional care in an inpatient setting. Become Chemo certified after 2 years. In addition, 6 South has 4 beds designated to meet inpatient hospice care to provide continuity of care for our patients as they transition to end of life care.

Major Responsibilities:

• Uses the nursing process to assess the needs of the patient, plan and implement individualized interventions and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care.
