PHARMACY​/TECHNICIAN

Overview

Provide exceptional customer service to help people live healthier lives by treating customers and employees fairly, maintaining a clean and inclusive environment, and delivering the right products and services at the right time with accurate pricing.

• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations and program guidelines, identifying unsafe conditions and notifying store management.
• Understand and perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
• Maintain computerized inventory management and control of all medications, devices, supplements, and supplies.
• Keep work stations and customer waiting areas clean and organized.
• Count, measure, and prepare specified products using best practices.
• Complete billing procedures to assure best value to the customer and the company.
• Answer phone calls, triage calls, and answer inquiries as appropriate.
• Accept and tender vendor coupons, manage cash shortages, and follow company shrink guidelines.
• Operate the cash register and handle all cashier policies to prevent loss, including tendering electronic fund transactions such as Credit/Debit Cards, EBT, and Gift Cards, as well as cash and check transactions.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Assist the pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist’s professional judgment.
• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and the company’s policies regarding the same.
• Support company health and wellness initiatives.
• Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
• Perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position.

Desired

• Any previous comparable experience.
• Any equivalent experience of a pharmacy clerk.
• EPRN familiarity.
