Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a newer facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell. The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.
The Maintenance Technician performs work involving two or more maintenance skills to keep machines, mechanical equipment, grounds, or the structure of the facility in repair. #Oak Grove
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive, but a general illustration. It may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities deemed necessary.
- Works with Facilities management to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. With management approval and involvement, this includes contacting vendors, scheduling maintenance visits and asking for pricing information. All scheduled work and any associated costs involving outside vendors are reviewed and approved by Facilities management.
- Works with Facilities management to develop special projects, including proposing new equipment and working with suppliers on specifications and pricing. All proposals are reviewed and approved by Facilities Management.
- Inspects, tests, and troubleshoots machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Dismantles and reassembles defective machines and equipment.
- Ensures all maintenance inventory, supplies, and equipment are maintained and properly stored.
- Installs new or repaired parts.
- Status of maintenance work tickets, including time and costs, should be documented utilizing the computerized maintenance management program.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Installs and/or repairs wiring, electrical, and electronic components.
- Installs appliances, machinery, and equipment.
- Assembles, installs, and/or repairs plumbing.
- Paints and repairs woodwork and plaster.
- Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures, such as sheds and outbuildings.
- Performs general maintenance tasks for the property, such as drywall repair, plastering, carpentry, flooring repair, painting, replacing light bulbs, changing filters, repairing broken locks, etc.
- Keeps tools and supplies clean and organized
- Conducts routine maintenance on equipment and building systems
- Effectively reports to Facilities Management and corrects unsafe work practices or unsafe property conditions.
- Assists moving equipment and furniture when requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Maintains interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
- Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the position.
- Must be detail-oriented, have a professional attitude, strong organizational and time management skills, and be customer-focused.
- Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
- The successful candidate will have experience in two or more of the following skills: insulating, welding, machine and equipment repairing, carpentry, and electrical work. Experience may also include planning and laying out of work relating to repairs; repairing electrical and/or mechanical equipment: installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.
- Must have a Valid Driver’s License.
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
