Overview
We have multiple opportunities for NavMPS CSR - Shiprider positions. The NavMPS CSR - Shiprider will deploy onboard U.S. Naval vessels for extended periods, including applicable work-up cycles and deployment underway periods. Travel to support other Naval Air Stations and Marine Corps Air Stations in CONUS and OCONUS is required. Preferred work locations when not deployed include NAS Fallon, NAS Lemoore, NAS Patuxent River, NAS North Island, NAS Whidbey Island, MCAS Beaufort, MCAS Miramar, Marlton NJ.
Responsibilities- Act as primary liaison between PMA-281 and the Fleet NavMPS user as an embedded member of the Carrier Airwing Staff
- Provide NavMPS-specific Administration/Data Base Administration advanced training for all NavMPS users
- Assist aircrew with mission planning when using NavMPS programs
- Maintain constant visibility with all NavMPS users to facilitate rapid response to problem resolution, training issues, and day-to-day operations
- Provide cross-platform training and guidance to less experienced team members and to team members from co-located programs outside of the mission planning environment
- Install and configure NavMPS software on all applicable NavMPS assets
- Install, integrate, test and secure site-unique software applications as approved by PMA-281
- Create, maintain, and manage system administrator and user accounts for all NavMPS assets
- Provide technical advice and recommendations to the government customer for defining and prioritizing requirements; design and engineering of system upgrades, replacements, and new solutions; and purchasing hardware and software solutions
- Prepare documentation for installation, testing, service transition, continuity of operations, disaster recovery, and standard operating procedures
- Coordinate with enterprise network, web, database, and information assurance engineers for installation, testing, integration, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Monitor and report on system security posture in accordance with DoD and local guidance
- Prepare and test deployable equipment packages for remote connection; train users on setup and operation; provide remote support to deployed personnel
- Support configuration management and change control policies and procedures
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant and emerging technologies
- Education / Certifications:
- AS or AA in Computer Science, Information Systems or a relevant technical discipline
- Military IT-related rating/MOS may substitute for an AS or AA degree
- Four years of experience in support of Defense IT systems may substitute for a degree
- Experience:
- At least three years of experience with DoD C4
ISR systems, including 24/7/365 help desk support, training, on-site technical support, and underway/deployed CVNs, LSDs, LHA’s, DDGs, CVWs, MAGs, MEFs, or USN/USMC Squadrons - Microsoft Office 365
- At least three years of experience with DoD C4
- Other
Qualifications:- Must be physically able to lift/maneuver 100 lbs
- DOD 8570.01 certification required
