Position: Telecommunications Specialist with Security Clearance
Our client is currently seeking a Telecommunications Specialist
** This position requires an active CompTIA Security + certification.
** This position is fully on-site out of Oak Harbor, WA.
** Must have a Secret or Top Secret clearance, or ability to obtain one. Our client seeks Telecommunications Specialist II for a newly awarded contract to provide Base Telecom Support in Oak Harbor, WA. The effort will provide telecommunications operations and maintenance (O&M). This includes secure and reliable, classified and unclassified, voice and data services in support of Command, Control, Computer, Communications and Information (C4I) operations and exercises.

This job will have the following responsibilities:
* Essential functions will include:

* Operate and maintain government-owned telephony switches (PBX), including:

* Avaya Systems CM4.0

* Perform:

* Troubleshooting and repair of switch issues

* Software updates and patching

* Installation and configuration of switch hardware

* Daily operation monitoring

* Support for voicemail systems and IPE (Remote Intelligent Peripheral Equipment)

* Utilize company vehicle to travel to remote locations weekly.

* Ensure switch systems remain fully operational and compliant with DoD/Navy standards.

* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

* US Citizenship

* Active Secret or Top Secret clearance, or ability to obtain one

* CompTIA Security + or higher DoD 8570 certification

* 2 years of experience, (5 years is preferred

* Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point

* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
