We have grown and developed into four business divisions: agronomy, retail, energy, and wholesale distribution & milling. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greet and interact with customers.
• Organize and effectively merchandise items for sale.
• Demonstrate and explain merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customers’ needs.
• Utilize customer-focused selling skills, add-on selling, closing skills, and other sales generating skills.
• Accurately complete sales using the point-of-sale system according to established procedures.
• Process returns and exchanges.
• Monitor all merchandise for correct location assignments, accurate and clean bin labels, expired products, and stock rotation.
• Assist customers by loading and unloading products as needed.
• Maintain product stock in the store and warehouse.
• Assemble products and displays.
• Safely perform propane dispenser operations.
• Safely operate a forklift and pallet jack.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships.
• Practice punctual and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods; bend, stoop and kneel frequently.
• Lift, carry, push, pull and load up to 60 pounds.
• Have a proven track record of being dependable and reliable.
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Commitment to excellence especially in terms of providing outstanding customer service
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience working in a retail setting.
• Product knowledge preferred in one or more of the following areas: feed, seed, pet food & supplies, horse/equine, hardware, fencing, lawn & garden supplies, animal health, tack, clothing & footwear, or wild bird supplies.
SCHEDULE
This is a part-time position. Generally, 16-32 hours/week, Sunday through Saturday. Must be available to work
evenings and/or weekends as needed.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$17.25 – $19.80/hour. After meeting eligibility requirements, benefits include:
