Position: Salesperson/Store Driver  Store 7350

Overview

Entry level positions in sales and store operations. Roles involve supporting DIY and commercial customer needs, basic store systems knowledge, inventory processes, and safe operation of store activities. Both positions may be part time or full time. Fleet safety certification is preferred for the Store Driver role.

Salesperson – Primary Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal sales goals and help the store achieve its sales goals
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock, etc.

Salesperson – Secondary Responsibilities

• Store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking and back stock
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed

• Parts and automotive system knowledge skills
• Operating POS and Parts lookup systems

Essential

Job Skills Necessary For Success As a Salesperson

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build relationships with customers, peers and management
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately for various units of measure
• Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed

Prior Experience

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences

Store Driver – Primary Responsibilities

• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
• Pick and stage parts for customer orders
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyer
• Daily collection of credit accounts

Store Driver – Secondary Responsibilities

• Store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking and back stock

Physical Demands

The physical demands and work environment are representative of those required to perform the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Duties involve standing/walking, talking, hearing, and using hands. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Typically inside, with occasional outdoor work and exposure to weather. May involve moving parts, equipment, and potential exposure to chemicals or electrical hazards. Moderate noise level.
