The Inspector ensures that all components meet precision measuring requirements and that any defects are identified and addressed before products proceed to the next stage of production or shipment.

Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate documentation and control records to support quality assurance and regulatory compliance. Ultimately, the Inspector helps uphold the integrity of the manufacturing process, contributing to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in visual and final inspection within a manufacturing or refinery environment.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Familiarity with stamping procedures and document control practices.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, including fire alarm systems, relevant to industrial settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Apply stamping procedures to mark inspected parts in accordance with quality control protocols.
  • Conduct inspections within refinery environments, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards, including fire alarm system checks where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date document control records related to inspection results, certifications, and quality reports.
  • Identify and report any issues such as burrs or surface imperfections, coordinating with production teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and uphold quality standards.

Skills:

The required skills such as visual inspection and final inspection are applied daily to ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards before approval. Precision measuring skills are essential for verifying that machined parts conform to exact specifications, preventing costly errors and rework. Stamping and document control skills are used to accurately mark and record inspection outcomes, maintaining traceability and compliance with industry regulations.

Knowledge of refinery operations and fire alarm systems supports the safe execution of inspections in potentially hazardous environments. Preferred skills like deburring and familiarity with quality certifications enhance the inspector's ability to identify subtle defects and contribute to continuous process improvements.
