As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Desk in Detroit, MI
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication. You will also be responsible for access control duties and may be required to drive as part of your responsibilities.

• Monitor and control access to the distribution facility, verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location.
• Assist with the implementation of security-related procedures and site-specific policies to help maintain order within the logistics environment.
• Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting visitors, employees, and delivery personnel as needed.
• Respond to incidents or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activities.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or maintenance needs to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel.
• Collaborate with logistics staff to support security-related operations and help maintain a secure environment for assets and personnel.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
