The Project Engineer supports engineering and project management activities by collecting, organizing, and managing technical and project data across multidisciplinary teams. This position plays a key role in integrating information from engineering, design, and operations personnel to support planning, reporting, and execution of complex industrial projects within the advanced nuclear energy sector. The role requires strong organizational and analytical skills to ensure technical accuracy, efficient data flow, and effective coordination across project phases.
Responsibilities- Aggregate, organize, and maintain engineering and project data from multiple sources.
- Collect information from engineers, designers, and project leads to support technical documentation and data management systems.
- Develop and maintain tracking tools, spreadsheets, and project databases to monitor deliverables, progress, and performance metrics.
- Assist with preparation of project reports, presentations, and technical summaries.
- Coordinate with engineering and project management staff to ensure consistent and accurate data across departments.
- Support documentation control and recordkeeping in accordance with project and quality assurance requirements.
- Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and execution coordination under the direction of the Project Manager.
- Identify process improvement opportunities related to data flow, reporting, and project integration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
- Typically, 3+ years of relevant Project Engineering experience supporting technical or industrial projects.
- Experience working with engineering data, technical documentation, or configuration management systems.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills; proficiency with Excel, SharePoint, and project data tools.
- Experience in industrial or equipment installation environments is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with cross-functional teams.
