Principal Responsibilities (For All Grade Levels)- The Engineering Supervisor serves as the primary engineering point of contact (POC) responsible for developing detailed technical scope, level of effort estimates, performing technical pre-job briefs, and driving overall quality on technical engineering deliverables.
- Responsible for engineering resource management and employee development. Ensures adherence to task budget and schedule. Coordinates with Project Engineers and other stakeholders to ensure efforts are adequately scoped and planned.
- Serves as the final approver on engineering documents ensuring the appropriate technical approach and rigor are applied.
- Assists in development of engineering products such as: calculations, specifications, scopes of work, analyses, designs and design changes, and engineering reports within the discipline.
- Follows procedures in the development of engineering products.
- Mentors engineers in developing engineering products, procurement activities, construction support, and operations support.
- Maintains timely and accurate oral and written technical reports regarding assigned engineering activities. Keeps proper engineering files and records.
- Applies industry codes and standards in development of engineering products.
- Understands and uses computer software and applications associated with engineering assignments.
- Complies with company’s safety awareness program, office and/or field safety policies.
- Develops an understanding of the role of each functional area within the company.
- Conforms to company core values.
- Acts with integrity in all elements of responsibility.
- Expresses ideas clearly and listens effectively to the ideas of others.
Education: BS in an appropriate engineering discipline from a four-year accredited college or university
Experience: 10+ years of experience required. Professional Engineer License preferred.
