This role is responsible for supporting professional employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study. Depending on the internship assignment, the intern may work alongside engineers, scientists, or industry professionals to contribute to various projects related to their area of study. Under guided supervision, interns will assist with various projects and tasks, contributing to the organization's goals while learning from experienced professionals in the field.

• Support active engineering projects and analyses within your area of study, contributing to work that advances TRISO-X fuel fabrication projects.
• Provide support for day-to-day departmental or team operations.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions, meetings, and project discussions offering input and feedback when appropriate.
• Attend team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions to enhance operational efficiency or project outcomes.
• Help organize and maintain project files, documents, and records.
• Conduct research and gather information for ongoing initiatives and projects.
• Help prepare reports, presentations, or other materials as needed.

• Current enrollment in - or recent completion of - a bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, civil, nuclear engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Curiosity, initiative, and a collaborative mindset — you're eager to learn and ready to contribute.
• Academic or hands-on knowledge in a minimum of one of the following areas:
  Computer Aided Design (CAD);
  Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&);
  Experience with industrial equipment design, procurement, installation, and operation.

Letters should come from a professor, academic advisor, employer, or professional mentor who can speak directly to your qualifications, work ethic, and potential.

Work Site Expectations:
Fully on-site, 5 days per week

Program Length: 10-week program (anticipated June-August 2027; exact dates to be confirmed)

Hours:

Standard office hours, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM ET, Monday-Friday

Compensation: A reasonable estimate for this position at the level of experience required is: $25/hour for undergrad; $40/hour for graduate.
