On-site in Oak Ridge, TN

• Plan, direct, and review the overall accounting department operations and activities.
• Develop policies and procedures for the accounting department.
• Direct the execution of the financial accounting cycle, including but not limited to month end close, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow, and various supporting analysis.
• Design, develop, and implement financial systems and their modifications and enhancements.
• Review and monitor compliance with company policies and governmental regulations.
• Perform staff planning, performance reviews, and budgeting functions for the department.
• Generate the company’s financial reports in a timely manner, including site‑specific reports and analysis.
• Evaluate and assess all phases of the capital assets program.
• Ensure financials are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, with an advanced degree being preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial reporting, financial systems, and leadership.
• Experience with DOD or DOE government accounting, revenue recognition, FAR/DFARS and other government contract compliance.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting and cost control.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented and deadline‑driven.
• Ability to report to an assigned work location in Oak Ridge, TN.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.

Pay: $136,000 - $177,000
