, a not-for-profit community mental health center based in Oak Ridge, TN, has an immediate opening for a full-time Healthcare Billing Specialist
. The schedule will be weekdays, 8am-4:30pm. The right candidate will join a close‑knit billing team following timely, accurate, HIPAA‑compliant billing practices that complement the accounting side of the financial services department. The billing team is an integral part of "One Ridgeview", with all staff working toward a common mission.

High school diploma or GED; skills in data entry, claims submission, and follow‑up. Two or more years of medical/hospital claims and billing experience required. Excellent organization and written and verbal communication skills, mathematical aptitude, sense of discipline, and ability to work under minimal supervision. Performs work with urgency and a high degree of accuracy, exercising discretion and good judgment in communicating account information to third parties.

Able to work regular weekday business hours.

Medical billing and related activities in a behavioral health environment. Directly works with clients and/or third‑party payors to ensure that medical billing is accurate, compliant with payor guidelines, thorough, and timely. Performs collections efforts to maintain accounts receivable balances in line with target balances. Excellent communication skills; enjoys working with clients and third‑party payors.
