The Company is in search of a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead its cybersecurity and risk management efforts. The CISO will be the primary cybersecurity lead, responsible for maturing and integrating the NIST-based Risk Management Framework into all information system authorization boundaries. This leadership role demands a deep and current practical experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on IT, OT, and digital transformation.
The successful candidate will be tasked with maintaining a full inventory of all authorization boundaries, ensuring the integration of risk-balanced security measures, and leading the development of the company's cybersecurity architecture. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including federal customers, is essential to ensure the effectiveness of the cybersecurity program. Candidates for the CISO position at the company must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, at least 15 years of technical experience, and a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
Specific experience in cyber operations and risk management is required, including intrusion detection/prevention, log management, network security, and vulnerability scanning. The role also demands familiarity with federal cybersecurity and risk management requirements, particularly NIST Special Publications. The CISO will be expected to lead a team, manage compliance activities, and establish cyber metrics for program effectiveness. Strong communication skills, the ability to work semi-autonomously, and a proactive approach to emerging cyber threats are essential.
The position is based on-site and may require limited travel to support mission requirements.
