System Administrator

We are seeking a System Administrator to join our team supporting the DOE's Y-12 National Security Complex
! This position is full-time ON-SITE and will be based out of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. To be considered, you must have an active or very recently active DOE “Q” Clearance or DoD “Top Secret” Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Racking, cabling, and power for IT equipment.

• Performing telecom facility and equipment support.

• Managing Data Center HVAC, cooling, chilled water, CRAC units, etc.

• Overseeing redundant power infrastructure.

• Overseeing, tracking and maintaining supplies of IT materials including cables, SFPs, power supplies, etc.

• Supporting daily data center operations duties and production IT systems.

• Performing data center walk-through checks, reporting issues, submitting incident tickets and service requests.

• Monitoring of environmental status of production data centers.

• Working with printing and mailing systems for payroll, tax forms, etc.

• Backing up and restoring lost or corrupt files as needed.

• Working with business continuity planning, training, and exercises.

• Working with common IT systems such as DCIM, Service Now ticketing, change management, incidents and other work tracking.

Requirements

• Education & Years of Experience – Associate's Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience; additional, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.

• Clearance – To be considered, you must have an active or very recently active DOE “Q” Clearance or DoD “Top Secret” Clearance.

• Hands on Data Center layer one experience.

• Cabling and supporting IT and Telecom systems.

• Ability to handle large printing tasks.

• Experience with work tracking, ticketing, incidents, change management, etc. systems.

• Experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) systems.

Desired Skills

• Daily Data Center Operations duties for production data center environment.

• Experience supporting critical production IT data centers.

• Experience with weekly payroll printing of thousands of printed forms.

The NNSA's Y-12 National Security Complex, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, is the nation’s only source of enriched uranium nuclear weapon components and provides enriched uranium for the U.S. Navy as well as excels in materials science, precision manufacturing, and stores enriched uranium.
