Site Project Manager
Oklo Inc is seeking a Site Project Manager to join the Deployment Team within our Recycling Division. This on‑site role is located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Position DescriptionThe Site Project Manager is responsible for on‑ground engagement and coordination of local deployment operations of an industrial facility in Oak Ridge, TN. This includes collaboration with key external stakeholders such as contractors, subcontractors, vendors, local officials and representatives, industrial organizations, and members of the public.
Specific Responsibilities- Conduct near‑daily visits to the build site to meet with contractor representatives, assess performance against plans, and resolve or escalate any identified variances.
- Audit contractor compliance with safety and quality requirements.
- Identify potential risks or issues in advance and develop associated mitigation strategies.
- Host stakeholder visits to the build site and office.
- Coordinate logistics for a small office near the build site.
- Support Oklo Government Affairs and Community Affairs teams by representing Oklo at local meetings and events.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, ideally Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar.
- Prior experience managing construction projects.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical and design documentation.
- Experience working with energy or nuclear projects.
- Experienced with planning or overseeing construction projects.
- Experienced with contractor or supplier management.
- Mission‑driven, with grit to overcome obstacles to drive projects to success.
- Skilled negotiator with conflict resolution experience.
- Passionate about energy.
- Optimistic and willing to think differently to solve problems.
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Excellent communicator in both technical writing and collaborative discussions.
- Strong writer using a modern active voice.
Oklo Inc. is developing fast fission power plants to deliver clean, reliable, and affordable energy mission is to establish a domestic supply chain for critical radioisotopes and advance nuclear fuel recycling to convert nuclear waste into clean energy.
TravelRemote employees may be required to travel to the headquarters in Santa Clara, CA, twice a quarter for team meetings, off‑sites, and other company events.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $85,000 – $145,000.
