Audit Senior – Oak Brook, IL

$80,000- $105,000

I’m currently partnering with a well-established and highly respected public accounting firm in the Oak Brook area that is seeking to add an Audit Senior to their growing team. This firm is known for its strong client relationships, supportive leadership, and consistent career development opportunities for its professionals.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated audit professional who is looking to expand their responsibilities, work closely with clients, and join a firm that values both technical excellence and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute financial statement audits for a diverse client base across multiple industries, including manufacturing, distribution, real estate, and employee benefit plans
• Manage all phases of audit engagements: planning, fieldwork, review, and wrap-up
• Supervise and mentor staff, providing coaching and review of work papers
• Develop strong working relationships with clients, providing insights and ensuring compliance with applicable standards
• Stay current on accounting and auditing updates and incorporate changes into client engagements

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA license preferred (or actively pursuing)
• Minimum of 3 years of recent public accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a senior or supervisory role
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Experience with CCH Engagement or similar software is a plus
