The Staff Accountant Role

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Staff Accountant will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the month-end close, and providing reliable financial information to the wider business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Support the month-end close process, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance.

• Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile balance sheet and other financial accounts.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to monitor financial performance.

• Analyze account balances and transactions, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues.

• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to information requests.

• Maintain accurate financial data using accounting software and ERP systems.

• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support financial transparency and the company’s profit and loss objectives.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal Staff Accountant will bring strong attention to detail, sound accounting fundamentals, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close is important. Familiarity with MAS 90 or Sage 100 would be particularly advantageous.
