Perform general analysis and prepare reports to support business operations. Conduct modeling, forecasting, trending, variance analysis, business case development, and other general financial and operational analysis. Monitor and coordinate activities to support operational performance management (e.g., safety, reliability, service level, productivity). Research and provide statistical financial and operational information. Track, maintain, analyze and provide current information on the operation’s business scorecard or key performance indicators (KPIs).
Develop and organize performance reports for both internal and external use. Contribute to short‑term and long‑term business planning. Provide analytical and operational support to the business unit. The position may require extended hours during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
- Support short‑term and long‑term business planning, including modeling, forecasting, trending, variance analysis, and business case development.
- Provide statistical information to ensure effective utilization of personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Monitor and coordinate activities to support operational performance management (safety, reliability, service level, productivity).
- Track, maintain, analyze and provide current information on KPIs.
- Analyze cost elements to ensure effective and efficient operations.
- Prepare and analyze detailed standard and non‑standard reports.
- Organize and present performance reports for internal and external use.
- Provide analytical and operational support to the business unit.
- Individual contributor role working under general supervision, resolving most questions and problems through interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- May mentor less experienced colleagues on occasion.
- May require extended hours and/or shift work to support business operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering AND 2‑4 years related business experience, or in lieu of a degree, 3‑6 years relevant business experience.
- General understanding of applicable standards, methods, processes, and performance metrics in the specific area supported.
- General proficiency in standard software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project) and specialized business technologies (workforce management, project management, Pass Port, Brio, CIS, EPS, Business Objects, SAP planning, business modeling, forecasting).
- Ability to provide general analysis and apply managerial accounting concepts, customer intelligence gathering, forecasting, staff planning, scheduling, and statistical problem solving.
- Experience in business case development and ability to present business cases to leadership.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical, problem‑solving and project management skills.
- Knowledge of performance analysis practices (trending, root cause, gap analysis, benchmarking, compliance).
Power BI report building capability.
