Four Handed Dental Assistant (lead role)

Pay: 25-30 per hour – DOE

The primary role of the Lead dental assistant is to assist the dentist in any way that facilitates safe, quality care in an efficient manner. By maintaining a clean field and properly preparing for all procedures, the assistant aids in creating and sustaining a comfortable environment for the patient where the doctor may work seamlessly, providing the highest level of professional care.

With proper preparation, the assistant can focus on anticipating the doctor’s needs and expediting the patient flow through the office and their ultimate satisfaction.

• Assist the doctor throughout all procedures
• Properly sterilize and disinfect all equipment and surfaces to eliminate potential for cross-contamination
• Achieve and sustain patient comfort throughout the procedure
• Manage supplies and inform office manager of shortages or future needs
• Organize and maintain lab equipment
• Properly maintain equipment to preserve the longevity and effectiveness of use
• Stock all rooms at the beginning or end of each day
• Expose diagnostic radiographs and take quality intra-oral images for the dentist
• Provide post‑op procedures and any pertinent education to patients
• Pour models, trim casts and take impressions as required while properly labeling
• Fabrication of lab scripts
• Well versed in taking patient notes. Completing patient notes by the end of the day

• Ensure patients are scheduled for all necessary future visits (Restorative/Post‑op/Recall/etc)
• Help clinical and administrative staff with any tasks that promote the success of the office
• General office cleaning and organizing
• Turn off all equipment and X-ray units before leaving for the day
• must have a deep knowledge of dental and able to lead well, ordering of supplies, keep processes straight and make sure they are being followed. HIPPA guidelines responsible
