Contract Length: 12 months (potential extension or full-time conversion)
Location: Oakbrook Terrace, IL
Work Setup: Hybrid (Tuesday-Thursday on-site; Monday and Friday remote)
Project Manager- Position Summary
Join Client's Transmission Interconnection team as a Project Manager
, supporting critical infrastructure projects that connect new electricity generation to the power grid. This role offers the opportunity to manage utility construction projects from planning through execution.
- Manage projects from initiation through completion, overseeing scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Develop project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Support transmission, substation, and electrical infrastructure projects.
- Conduct site inspections throughout Client's South and West service territories.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant project management experience.
- Experience in electric utilities, utility construction, or related infrastructure projects.
- Strong budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel to project sites using a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
- Must be local to the Oakbrook Terrace area.
- Transmission, substation, or electrical distribution experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Gas utility or comparable infrastructure experience.
Relevant hands-on experience will be considered in place of a degree.
