Manager, Human Capital Consulting assesses organizational needs to organizations in support of the human capital function. The Manager, Human Capital Consulting possesses extensive knowledge of human resource management, with a strong background in consulting and hands‑on experience in resolving HR issues. We are looking for a strategic thinker and problem‑solver who excels in communication and has a track record of maximizing HR value.

  • Develop and execute plans to align with the client’s business strategy and deliver work in the full life cycle of Human Resources including but not limited to the following areas:
    • Compliance and employee relations
    • Compensation administration and benchmarking
    • Benefits administration
    • Talent and performance management
    • Employee communications
    • Training and development
    • HR Technology
    • Outsourcing
    • Organizational Development
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients to serve as their trusted advisor.
  • Provide consultative guidance and coaching to support leaders in understanding the value behind recommended HR strategies and solutions for their organizations.
  • Maintain regular communication and updates throughout client engagements, ensuring that projects stay within the established timeline and budget.
  • Proactively anticipate and address challenges to support clients in meeting their desired goals.
  • Identify potential business opportunities with new and existing clients for additional services, both within HCM and other Crowe service lines, contributing to efforts to close new business.
  • In alignment with the practice’s marketing strategies, support and lead efforts to generate awareness and new leads, including developing and maintaining both internal and external referral relationships as well as relationships with previous clients, developing relevant and timely thought leadership content, and delivering webinars.
  • Prepare engagement letters and proposals.
  • Enter client/proposal information into CRM.
  • Function as a leader and mentor to consultant direct reports.
  • Participate in HCC update meetings and individual progress meetings as scheduled.
Minimum

Job Requirements to be Successful in the Role
  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field is required; a master’s degree or HR certification through HRCI or SHRM is preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience across multiple disciplines and previous experience serving external clients is required.
  • Diversity of industry preferred.
  • Specific expertise in compliance, total rewards, talent management, and employee relations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations, and public sector employment policies and procedures.
  • Ability to develop and present training programs.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of HR transactions and procedures to enable review of accuracy and completeness of documents such as employee policies and procedures, handbooks and benefit information.
  • Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to think strategically and operate tactically to deliver solutions.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to build and grow trusted client relationships.
  • Self‑starter mindset with excellent problem‑solving and evaluative skills with high initiative and accountability.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast‑paced, result‑oriented team environment.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work well independently and within a team, both in leading and support roles.
